Making a Difference

The project targeted two regions in India, firstly the state of Kerala, parts of which faced high risk from frequent flooding, and areas in and around Dehradun city, Uttarakhand which faced water scarcity due to climate-induced floods and droughts. In both regions, the project captured the challenges faced by vulnerable groups in population, such as those with disabilities, older age groups, women and children. The central pillar of the project was catalyzing social change and stimulating positive action through video-based digital storytelling. Mu Gamma Research Foundation (MGRF) evaluated training modules, for addressing the challenges faced by low-income and marginalized communities with respect to water security, for technical correctness. MGRF helped in further developing these modules and facilitated its dissemination to other regions and organizations for replication. Additionally, MGRF conducted reviews of digital content developed by the partner organization, and provided technical feedback to ensure the project’s success in tackling humanitarian needs.
